Turnip Fries with Sriracha Sauce

3-4 Turnips
2 T. Olive oil
1 tsp. Cappy’s Dry Rub (original or salt-free)

Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonaise
1-2 T. Underwood Sriracha Sauce (depends on your hotness preference!!)
1 clove of garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. honey
1/2 tsp. mustard
(or 1 tsp. honey mustard)

Cappys on Turnip Fries
  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees
  • Cut the tops and bottoms off your turnips and then cut in half. With the cut side down, make some 1/3″ slices and then turn over so that the bottom of the turnip is on the cutting board and cut fries so that they are appx. 1/3″ width (doesn’t have to be perfect).
  • Place the fries in a bowl and pour olive oil over, toss and sprinkle with Cappy’s and toss again.
  • Spread the fries out evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they don’t touch. Bake for 20 minutes, flip them over and bake for another 10 minutes. Make sure to serve them warm with the Sriracha sauce!!
Turnip Fries Baking

These probably would turn out awesome in an air fryer, but I’m old school!
